Ciastel Colz
Ciastel Colz presides over the picturesque village of La Villa in Alta Badia. This Gothic building was constructed as early as 1537 and is surrounded by two impressive fortified towers. The castle is also affectionately referred to as 'Gran Ciasa' by the locals, which means as much as 'Big House'.
One of the most well-known castle residents was the adventurer and disreputable knight Franz Wilhelm Prack zu Asch, whose his wild ways and risky heroics struck terror into the hearts of those around him in the 16th century with his terrible nature and his brave exploits struck terror in people's hearts.
